Marcus Vick arrested for DUI

Marcus Vick was arrested early Friday morning on charges of driving under the influence and eluding police.

Vick, the younger brother of disgraced Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick, was observed arguing with a female passenger in a car at approximately 2 a.m. local time, according to Norfolk police.

An officer on bicycle approached the car and asked for Vick’s driver’s license. According to police, Vick sped away before stopping minutes later and being apprehended.

Vick, 24, failed a sobriety test and was charged with DUI, misdemeanor eluding police, reckless driving and driving on a suspended license. The female passenger, 24-year-old Delicia Lenora Cordon, was charged with being drunk in public.

According to the Norfolk Sheriff’s Office, Vick was released from jail at approximately 5 a.m. on $1,000 bond. He is scheduled to appear in court on Monday at 9 a.m.

A former star quarterback at Virginia Tech, Vick was dismissed by the Hokies following the 2005 season for “a cumulative effect of legal infractions and unsportsmanlike play.”

In 2006, Vick signed as an undrafted free agent wide receiver with the Miami Dolphins, who released him the following year.
